Cecie Stainer+
A maker in Danzig, 1756-58. His instruments suggest the Maggini pattern, in the general model, large size, neat edges and work, and double purfling in ink. Three violins and a tenor of his are known, the latter with a fine tone.

Er hiess vielleicht richtig Knigge. Die von ihm bis jetzt bekannt gewordenen
Geigen, die gut gemacht sind und auch gut klingen erinnern an das
Maggini-Modell; sie sind aber breiter und haben statt der Einlage mit der Feder
gezeichnete, doppelte Linien.
