Er liess sich um 1835 in Dillingen nieder, wo seit Kempter’s Abgang kein Geigenmacher mehr ansässig war, und heirathete dort am 20. März 1838 Maria Antonie Höss. Er war recht talentvoll; sein frühzeitiger Tod aber verhinderte es, dass er zu voller Meisterschaft kam.
