Wahrscheinlich ein Schüler Tielkes, den er nachahmt. Er wurde am
27. Februar 1733 in Hamburg als Instrumentenmacher Bürger. Am häufigsten
trifft man Violoncelli von ihm, die durch ihr kurzes, aber sehr breites Modell
auffallen. Ein im Geschmacke Tielkes in allen Theilen reich verziertes Violoncello
aus dem Jahre 1752 befand sich in der Sammlung Hammer in Stockholm.
Boden und Decke schwach gewölbt, am Wirbelkasten ein Frauenköpfchen. Sein
Lack ist gelb oder gelbbraun. Ein Saiteninstrument des Museums in Gothenburg, bezeichnet »M. Meyer« und darunter eine Lilie, ist möglicher Weise auch von ihm.
