Sohn eines Kunstmalers, Enkel von Christian Wilhelm M. Da er in frühester
Kindheit beide Eltern verloren hatte, kam er nach Markneukirchen und wurde
im Waisenhause aufgezogen. Hierauf kam er zu dem mit ihm verwandten
Moritz Ficker in die Lehre, bei dem er sechs Jahre blieb; fünf Jahre arbeitete
er bei Moritz Schmidt und machte sich dann selbstständig. Er arbeitet hauptsächlich
für die Firma Hermann Todt.
