A maker in Paris, in the rue des Bourdonnais, in 1731 ; in the rue des Odriettes, in 1756. His workmanship was extremely pretty, and carefully finished ; he used fairly good yellow varnish, similar to that of Boquay, of whom he is said to have been a pupil.

Er wohnte 1735 in der Rue des Bourdonnois und 1748 in der Rue des vieilles Odriettes. Seine Geigen sind hoch gewölbt und verrathen die Schule Guersau’s oder Boquay ‘s. Gelber Lack von guten Eigenschaften und brave Arbeit. Bei seinen meisten Zetteln fehlt der Zusatz de St. Julien nach dem Namen. Seine Wittwe führte noch 1775-1777 das Geschäft fort. Eine Bratsche findet sich aus der Sammlung Snoeck (No. 470) in Berlin.
