John Dilworth
DARCHE, Hilaire Born 1862, died 1929 Brussels Belgium. Son of Joseph Darche, below. Trained at Gaillard and Nicolas Ainé in Mirecourt, subsequently worked for N. F. Vuillaume in Brussels. Opened his own shop there in 1886 at 62 Boulevard de Waterloo; joined by his brother, a piano maker, in 1894. Antique style copies of classical Cremonese makers. Renowned as an expert dealer and connoisseur. Decorated ‘Chevalier of the Order of King Leopold’ and appointed maker to the Brussels Conservatoire. Hilaire Darche.
