FABRICATORE, Gennaro (I) Worked circa. 1790-1832 Naples Italy. Son and pupil of Giovanni Battista Fabricatore. Specialist in plucked instruments; violins generally dated after 1815. Neapolitan model. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Wahrscheinlich der Sohn, jedenfalls der Schüler von Giov. Battista F. Er machte nur Lauten, Mandolinen und Guitarren, diese aber sind prachtvoll gearbeitet und kunstreich eingelegt. Er wohnte immer in der Strada S. Giacomo und zwar 1773-1793 im Haus No. 37, von 1802-1808 No. 26, von 1808 an wieder No. 37 und von 1816 an No. 42. Arbeiten von ihm kommen häufig vor und sind in vielen Sammlungen zu finden, so eine Guitarre
von 1810 bei C. Claudius in Malmö und zwei solche von
1820 und 1823 im musikhistorischen Museum in Stockholm
(No. 30, 194).
