Leider liess sich in der Ingolstädter Registratur nichts über ihn finden. Vielleicht ist er identisch mit dem von Baron gerühmten Hans Fichthold. Auch Michel F. war ein trefflicher Lautenmacher, von dem das städtische Museum in Braunschweig eine schöne Theorbe (No. 59) und die kgl. Sammlung alter Musikinstrumente
in Berlin eine Pandore von vollendeter Arbeit (No. 740) besitzt.
