Jüngerer Sohn von Giovanni Gr. Er erreichte zwar ebenso wenig wie sein
Bruder Giov. Batt. (II), mit dem er zusammen arbeitete, die volle künstlerische
Höhe, hat aber doch recht gute Instrumente gemacht. Meist ist das Holz sehr
gewöhnlich, das Modell nach Amati und der Lack, wenn auch manchmal noch von klarer,
gelblicher Farbe, nicht besonders. Der Ton dagegen fast durchgängig edel und weich.
