KIRNER, Adam Born before 1600, d. after 1654 Geroldshofstetten bei Grafenhausen Germany. Teacher and stepfather of Johannes Meyer. Early member of the Alemannische school of makers, characterised by their Brescian appearance with intricate purfling and pyrogravure designs, central integral bass bars, through neck construction, and soundholes with upper and lower wings connected to the outer curves.
