John Dilworth

François Worked circa. 1750-1789. Shop ‘A la Harpe Royale’ on the rue de la Juiverie. Master of the luthiers guild 1765. Henley gives a detailed description of violins made by him on a long and narrow model, with Brescian soundholes, slim head, and golden-brown varnish. Other instruments on familiar Mirecourt lines with dull yellow varnish. Vannes cites only pochettes, a guitar, archlute, pardessus de viol, viola, and harps.
