Carlo Mantegazza was a violin maker active in Milan, Italy, from 1772 to 1814. John Dilworth identifies him as the son, pupil, and successor of Pietro Giovanni Mantegazza, and notes that he worked alongside Francesco as Fratelli Mantegazza. However, Willibald Leo Lütgendorff offers a differing perspective, suggesting Carlo Mantegazza was probably a brother of Pietro Giovanni Mantegazza, whose work he closely resembled.

Carlo Mantegazza (1772-1814) was a Milanese violin maker. in "The Brompton’s Book of Violin & Bow Makers", he was the son, pupil, and successor of Pietro Giovanni Mantegazza. He also worked with Francesco under the name Fratelli Mantegazza. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff, in "Die Geigen- und Lautenmacher vom Mittelalter bis zur Gegenwart", states that he was probably one of the brothers of Pietro Giovanni Mantegazza, and that Carlo's work closely resembled Pietro Giovanni's.
