Meister seiner Zeit. Er wohnte Haus No. 12. Seine Geigen sind dem Stainermodell
nachgeahmt und zeichnen sich durch tadellose, saubere Arbeit aus; weniger gut ist der meist braune Lack. Eine hübsche Violine von ihm besitzt Gehring in Basel.
