Son of Theophile Guillaume Schwartz; b. Sept. 3, 1821. In 1852 he succeeded to the business in Strassburg at 2, place Saint-Thomas. He was chiefly occupied in repairing old instruments, but also made new ones, using the label: ” Schwartz a Strasbourg, 18—.”
