CLAUDOT, François Born 1865, died 1937 Mirecourt France. Brother of Felix Claudot, above. Apprenticed to A. Darte before taking a position with Bernardel in Paris 1884-1886. Following military service established in Dijon c.1889 at 9, rue de Bourg where he was later joined by his nephew Albert. Highly professional work on classical models. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Enkel von Charles Cl. und Bruder von Félix Cl. Er lernte in Mirecourt bei Darte und ging 1884 zu Gand & Bernardel, bei denen er zwei Jahre blieb. Er musste hierauf seiner Militärpflicht genügen und liess sich am 1. Dez. 1889 in Dijon nieder, wo er jetzt Geigenmacher des Conservatoriums ist. Er baut nach Stradivari, verwendet einen rothen Öllack und besitzt bereits verschiedene Medaillen. Ausser seinem Zettel tragen seine Geigen im Innern auch eine
Brandmarke.
