Er legte am 31. März 1764 den Bürgereid als Lauten- und Geigenmacher ab und erscheint in den Steuerbüchern von 1765—1787. Violinen von ihm kommen noch ziemlich häufig vor und sind recht gut. Er halt sich in den Umrissen an die Italiener, nur die Wölbung nimmt er manchmal höher.
